Some people I met in my life, have left an indelible impression on me somehow or other.
Rano da is one of them. I read about Vidyasagar, as model of humanity and 'danbir' apart from a social reformist. In my life Rano da is a person who comes closest to him. He always stands by the people in need, not only economic, but any kind of support in his capacity.
I always respect him as my elder brother.
Sunilda is very soft minded, outwardly sometime becomes sarcastic and Shikha is the epitome of all softness and sweetness. But both of them never forget anybody whoever help them in any way and always remain loyal to them.
I am very grateful to them for their friendship and trust on me.
Nalini da is a retired government employ. His integrity towards his family is remarkable. His wife was bed ridden for about forty years.
Nalini da nursed (of course with the help of ayas) and treated her most affectionately without any complain all through her life span.
I feel guilty that we could not see him after his wife's decease.Though I have no contact with him now, I miss him very much.
Another such person was Late Gautam da. He was a journalist. He did everything in his capacity to cure his bed ridden wife and won his mission through a rigorous struggle. He became a father and his wife was able to join a new job.All was going well, suddenly he was detected with lung cancer and died within a few months.
Gautam da was an excellent man.Without any expectation of any return or interest, he extended his helping hand to those whoever needed his help. He was respected by all who came to know him. I myself will remember him all through my life.
I never forget our mashima whom I called burima. To me she is the symbol of international motherhood. She used to treat all youngsters like her own children, nurse them whole night when they were ill.
Here I also feel guilty for my incapability to do more for her in her need. She also died of cancer.
There are many such people who have never come in the lime light in this world of self-advertisement. I believe if people could follow them, world would be a better place to live in.
